I’ve Always been a explorer by heart a traveller… and I so wish I had a job or the where I could travel the world meet different people, Photograph them, and just explore mother earth, Just something I felt like sharing hope one day I can achieve this.

Ok, so every time I tell some one I’m a Photographer, I usually get the same response and that is,

Oh wow you’re a photographer… Dam life must be good party all night sleep all day … and all the women…

lol I just cant help but laugh at that, cause unlike the movies that’s not how life is for a photographer… so here are some facts

• Most of us spend most of our time meeting with clients and marketing ourselves.
• we actually at times end up with hard headed clients who want us to work for peanuts cause to them, all we do is press a button.
• once we get a project we have to spend days scouting for the right location for our shots as well as doing homework on how the shoot is to be conducted, even if we are provided with references.
• We have to wake up early in the morning sometimes as early as 3 or 4 am, which means working with lack of sleep.
• Our shoots usually, can last up from 8 hours to 2 or 3 days continuous.
• Most of the times, we end up with clients who think they know what they are talking about even though they don’t and find it their obligation to tell you how you should do your shots while your still working on your lights.
• After the shoot we usually have no more then 2 days to finish off and submit our shots to the client.
• and as for the “Money” well that can be delayed from Weeks to Months.
• and with all this we hardly get time to socialise even with our friends or family let alone party.

so next time someone tells you he or she’s a photographer remember this in mind, its not easy being a Professional Photographer.
